Dr. Jessica Cheung is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and is Webster Technique Certified for prenatal care.

Dr. Jessica studied Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and completed her Certificate in Applied Human Nutrition. During this time, she was active in the fitness industry as a weight trainer and fitness instructor. While in university, she initially started chiropractic care for neck pain and noticed it had a profound impact on her overall health. Not only did her neck pain go away, she recovered faster from her workouts and was able to sleep through the night. She became interested in how the body is a self-healing and self-regulating system. This is when she decided to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West in California. Her passion is to motivate and empower people to take their health into their own hands, and to live life to its fullest potential.

Dr. Jessica has always been involved in sports and fitness. She has completed marathons, multiple Tough Mudder obstacle races, a Spartan Race and a bodybuilding competition. She has also competed in powerlifting and formerly held a provincial record. With a diverse background in fitness, Dr. Jessica brings an unique approach to her practice. Amanda graduated in April 2017 from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT). She has been registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC since November 2017. She was previously practicing at a clinic in Maple Ridge for the last 3 years and has just moved into the Port Moody area. During her time at WCCMT , she had the opportunity to gain experience at a variety of different out-reaches and in-reaches. These include sports massage with UBC varsity athletes, the Lululemon half marathon, pre-natal and post- natal massage at the BC Women’s Hospital, MS and Parkinson in-reach, as well as treating a variety of conditions at Seniors’ living homes in the Fraser valley. In the last 3 years, she has gained experience in Sports Therapy, Pre/Post Natal Therapy, ICBC related injuries, Postural Conditions, and Headaches/Migraines. In 2003, Dr. Even graduated from the five-year Chinese medical doctoral program at the Shang Hai Traditional Chinese Medicine College in Vancouver and spent the following couple years interning with local Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) doctors. That same year, he began studying the Chinese language, both privately and through Langara College.

Recognizing the importance of integrating his Western learning with experience in the East, and armed with his newly acquired language skills, Dr. Even travelled to the Peoples Republic of China in 2005. There he completed graduate training, completely in Chinese, at the Běijīng University of Chinese Medicine. Dr.Even continued to mentor under one of China’s great acupuncturists, Dr. Yǔ Lánbái, an internal medicine specialist and an expert in abdominal acupuncture. In addition, Eran also pursued extensive training in the European model of auricular (ear) acupuncture.

In 2015 Eran completed his studies in Classical Chinese medicine through the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine in Portland, Oregon, earning the designation of Diplomate in Canonical Chinese Medicine.

In 2013 Eran returned to China to train with Professor Huáng Huáng (黄煌) at the Nánjīng University of Chinese Medicine. Professor Huáng is a world renowned specialist in Classical Chinese medicine. In 2015 Eran again returned to Nánjīng to begin his Ph.D studies through the Nánjīng University of Chinese Medicine with Professor Huáng as his clinical advisor. In 2019, Eran became one of the first non-Chinese practitioners in Canada to receive a doctorate degree from a Chinese university. Eran’s translations have been published in several journals and publications including, The Journal of Chinese Medicine, The Lantern, The Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, and The International Journal of Integrative Oncology. Eran’s translation of a seminal Chinese medicine text was published in September, 2014 through the Chinese Medicine Database, and he has recently completed a translation of his teachers latest book, which will be published in early 2024 by Eastland Press.

In addition to Eran’s clinical and translation work, he is also a teacher through his own educational platform, Chinese Medicine Classics, offering several classes on various subjects in the field of Classical Chinese Medicine based on both his and his teachers experience. All classes are approved and affiliated with the International Jingfang Institute of the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Even is a registered Acupuncturist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA). Shing graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science at Simon Fraser University in 2017. While on exchange during his studies in Australia, he dislocated his shoulder while playing basketball 13 times within 1 year. Along with numerous other injuries from playing basketball and weight training, this led Shing to seek help through physiotherapy and manual therapy; and further inspired Shing to pursue a career in healthcare to help others in pain.

As a graduate of the massage therapy program at West Coast College of Massage Therapy, Shing was able to gain experience working with a variety of individuals in the school’s inreach and outreach programs. The outreach experiences included providing treatments to varsity level athletes at Douglas College, healthcare workers at Surrey Memorial Hospital, and providing care to individuals in the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion. At the school inreach, he also treated individuals with a wide range of conditions such as fibromyalgia, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease. His treatments utilize a variety of techniques and are formulated using thorough assessments to provide specialized care for each individual patient.

In his free time, Shing likes to play basketball, walking his dog and lift weights to stay active. When he’s not staying active, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and binge watching Netflix whenever he can.

Taylor’s passion for health and wellness started in 2014 when she completed the 700-hour bodywork and massage program at the Vancouver School of Healing Arts. After graduating, she worked in the spa industry for two years before enrolling at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy to pursue her RMT designation. Taylor graduated with honours from VCMT in 2019 and is now an active registrant with the College of Massage Therapists of BC.

Taylor is passionate about treating the body as a whole by combining therapeutic modalities with relaxation and breath work to help her clients achieve their goals. She will often use a variety of techniques throughout the session, while listening to the body and how it responds to treatment. Taylor’s modalities may include Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue massage, Swedish massage, Joint mobilizations, Trigger Point Therapy, Stretching techniques, and Remedial exercises.

Dr Shirtina Quon was born and raised in Burnaby and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Knowing she wanted to spend her career helping others stay active and healthy, she went on to graduate summa cum laude and class valedictorian at the University of Western States in beautiful Portland, Oregon.

Dr Shirtina believes that everyone can benefit from evidence informed chiropractic care and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to patient care. Using joint manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue therapies, and exercise rehabilitation, chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to help improve one’s quality of life.

Tammy graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy, where she had the opportunity to experience treating a large variety of conditions through her extensive clinical training. She is now licensed and registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Tammy has treated and been involved in many different placements such as BC Women’s hospital, Canuck Place, Multiple Sclerosis in-reach, Both UBC and SFU Varsity Sports teams and pre and post natal in-reach.

Tammy Believes that each individual is unique, therefore a thorough assessment is an important step to providing an effective and individualized treatment. In her practice Tammy uses a variety of treatment modalities such as myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular techniques, passive and active stretching, postural education and remedial exercise to effectively achieve patient goals. Tammy is passionate about helping her patients get back to their pain free and active lifestyles.

Nathan is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where he completed his studies in 2020. He became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) because he saw the opportunity to work closely with patients and develop therapeutic relationships to better understand their health goals.

As an RMT, Nathan has acquired various skills and techniques to provide effective care. He is knowledgeable in applying myofascial work, joint mobilizations, neuromuscular techniques, and several Swedish techniques including deep tissue. By utilizing this wide range of techniques, Nathan aims to provide his patients with the best possible care.
